The bodice is cut from washed linen with a gentle scoop neck, fine topstitching and two thin straps, and it sits smooth and short at the sides so nothing rubs under the arms. The skirt is five layers of soft tulle gathered onto the waist seam over a linen underskirt in the same caramel, which gives the cream a warm glow and stops it being see through. At the back the dress is open above a low linen band, closed with a little bow that ties in a moment. No zip, no buttons, nothing to catch.
